Customer Relationship Management

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.
My name is Kris Hutchinson.
One of the things about Don’s and my relationship is because he’s not as tech savvy as I am, if I explained something that goes above his head, he definitely makes sure that I mentioned it.
And he brought that to my attention yesterday, when I said that we use Ontraport as a CRM.
So what is a CRM?: Basically, a CRM is your Customer Relationship Management software.
CSRM is an all-in-one platform that lets you see what emails your customers received, what purchases they’ve made and any other information that you’ve collected on them through surveys or forms.
What it does is it gives you a complete record of everything that that customer has done.
So if they say, ‘Hey, I never received my password for this website’.
Or, ‘there was an issue with this course that I’ve done’, you can go back through and actually check and see that they bought this course, it’s an eight hour course, but only spent 45 minutes looking at it.
‘Are you sure you’ve really given it a chance?’.
You can actually see what pages they’ve gone to and check up on their status.
Once they’ve hit a certain milestone, you can actually automate emails to say, ‘Hey, congratulations, you’ve made it through part two’, and you can send out a homework assignment or something like that.
With Ontraport, there’s all kinds of awesome automations that are available that you can set up.
The reason that we chose Ontraport is as we were growing, we had an autoresponder.
We also had a web page builder that we were paying for and we had a membership site.
So we’re paying for the membership software to manage that for us.
And it came time where we started looking for an affiliate program.
As I was shopping around and asking some friends of my network, somebody recommended Ontraport because it did all of those things and more.
It has the membership site that we were looking for, where I can actually manage the access and give out the passwords and things that the customers need to access products.
It has the built-in webpage builder, which is great for complete or for creating quick forms or for your full website as the affiliate program, which can be completely automated based on your settings.
Whereas your affiliates are making sales for you.
It keeps track of all that and can actually pay them automatically through PayPal.
The form builders, going back to these surveys, you can have the form builder inside of Ontraport.
And all of that information goes directly into the contacts record so that you can pull up their record and see exactly how they filled out that survey.
So a lot of CRMs are going to have a ton of great features, just like these.
This is the reason that we chose Ontraport.
If you’re just starting out, you probably don’t need all of these things right away.
Ontraport does take some time to master, because it is a very robust program.
A lot of your CRMs are going to be that way, especially to get them set up.
