The Value of a Coach

Welcome to this episode of The Money Wheel.
My name is Don Shade.
In the last couple of episodes, we’ve been going through a lot of different techniques on how to handle yourself and the way you want to present you and your business.
The reason most people don’t talk to people out in public about what they do is they’re afraid those people are going to ask them questions that they don’t know the answer to.
For example, we have a company called Millionaire Mastery 360 and on the back of my t-shirts, it says, ‘ask me how I can make you a millionaire’.
Well, if you’re going to wear a shirt like that and advertise that kind of thing, people are going to ask you questions and you need to have some kind of answer.
Here’s what it comes down to: One of the big questions that I got in the beginning was, ‘well, how many people have you helped?’.
When I first started wearing the shirts, I didn’t really help any people.
I was just getting things set up and I was learning how to do this.
What I did, when somebody would ask me, ‘how many people have you helped?’, I would respond like this: ‘Well, I’ll tell you, I’m hooked up to a support system of coaches that are helping me to build this business and that’s exactly what I’m going to plug you into to teach you how to do the same thing’.
I took the focus off of me and I leaned on the coaches that I have.
I’ll be honest with you: in the same way as you’re plugged into our team so that you can get the help you need to build your business, I’m plugged into a support system of coaches as well.
It’s just at a higher level of people that have more experience.
School is never out for the pro.
What you need to realize, there’s nobody out there that can back you in a corner, unless you let them do it.
When somebody says, ‘well, how many people have you helped?’, they’re looking to see what kind of success you’ve had so far.
There’s nothing wrong with saying to them, ‘I’m plugged into a team of people or coaches that are helping me do this, I’m brand new at it’.
Everybody has to start with the first customer.
And I’ll tell you this, I used to think that giving an answer like, ‘I haven’t really done anything great yet, but I have coaches that are teaching me how’, I thought that would chase people away.
But you know what? They’re looking to be plugged into a system like that.
What I’m starting to do here is show you the value of a support team and what coaches can do for you.
When you don’t have your own credibility and you’re just starting out, the way you handle that is lean on your support team.
Don’t be afraid to mention the coaches that you have.
Don’t be afraid to tell somebody, ‘Hey, I’m brand new’.
‘I’m just learning this, but if I don’t know the answer, I’m going to reach out to my support team and get the answer for you’.
Here’s what it comes down to: How many other people are brave enough to do what you’re doing and to talk to somebody about a business that they have?
I’m not here to sell you anything, I’m here to show you a different way.
The only difference between my income and yours is we’re educated differently.
Your income has a ceiling, because you can only trade so much time for money.
What we’ve done is learn how to do something once and get paid for it over and over.
This is just something to make you think.
As you read this, you might start thinking, ‘wow, the thing that’s holding me back really isn’t that big of a deal’.
The more you talk to people, the more comfortable you’re going to get.
The key that I want to teach you here is: the value of a coach and a support system, and also the value of ‘I can make more money offline by learning to talk to people’.
You being in business is a 24/7 event, and the reason is, you never know when you’re going to come across somebody that is just in a position where they’re looking for what you have.
People don’t come out and say it, but for some reason your paths have crossed.
I don’t think you found our business by accident, I think you were put here by design.
With all that being said, as we move forward, I want you to start keeping notes about the stuff you think about while reading our emails, and the different things that you’re learning.
What is it that you can do to change your position in life, where you are the boss and you don’t have to worry about money anymore?
